Hazel Cauble Hill

SALISBURY - Hazel Cauble Hill, age 86, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Genesis Eldercare.

Mrs. Hill was born June 21, 1921, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late John Calvin Cauble and the late Maggie Earnhart Cauble. She attended Rowan County schools and retired from Collins and Aikman. She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Albert Ray Hill, on March 13, 1969; six sisters; and one brother.

Mrs. Hill is survived by daughters Margaret Morgan and husband Floyd, Mary Frances Gobble and husband Riley and Carol McElrath and husband Robbie, all of Salisbury; sisters Ailene McCombs of Faith and Ruth Sloop and husband Eustance of Salisbury; grandchildren Belinda Lee, Albert Morgan, Cheryl Owen, Jeff Gobble, Rev. Dan Gobble, Riley Gobble, Jr. and Traci Patterson; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday, March 7 at Liberty United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Brad Cunningham and Rev. Dan Gobble. Mrs. Hill will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to service. Burial will follow at a family plot in the church cemetery.

Memorials: Liberty United Methodist Church, Building Fund.
