Amy Louise Lyerly Fraley

Amy Louise Lyerly Fraley, 93, of Spartanburg, S.C., died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022 at Gardens at Eastside. Born May 12, 1928 in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late George B. and Amanda Morgan Lyerly, and was the wife of the late James F. Fraley, Sr.

Mrs. Fraley was retired from Deal's Market, having previously been employed by JC Penney Department Store and S&H Green Stamp Store. She was a long-time member of Covenant Presbyterian Church where she was a former member of the church choir, a member of the Adult Sunday School class, Circle of Presbyterian Women and also taught Bible School.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Gertrude Lyerly Crook, Rachel Lyerly Cress, and Lucille Lyerly.

Survivors include her son, James F. Fraley, Jr. (Margaret) of Spartanburg, S.C.; her daughter, Debbie Fraley Rogers (Curtis) of Greer, S.C.; four grandchildren, Matthew Rogers (Rebecca), Adam Rogers (Kayla), Katie Rogers Herndon (Matt), Amy Fraley Hand (Andrew); eight great-grandchildren, Taylor Rogers, Kaitlyn Rogers, Makenzie Rogers, Evans Herndon, Wade Herndon, Knox Herndon, Ford Rogers and Hoyt Rogers.

Arrangements: Visitation will be 9:30 – 10:45 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 15 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 880 W.O. Ezell Blvd., Spartanburg, SC. A Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. in the church, conducted by The Rev. Robert Brozina. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in Shiloh Reformed Church of Faith Cemetery, 100 S. Main Street, Faith, NC.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 880 W.O. Ezell Blvd., Spartanburg, SC, or Shiloh Reformed Church of Faith, Faith, NC.
