Julie Ann Morgan Hensley
Julie Ann Morgan Hensley, 50, of Kannapolis, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House following a serious illness of four months.
She was born Sept. 15, 1958, in Cabarrus County, daughter of Hoyle and Ruth Wilhite Morgan of China Grove.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rocky Wayne Hensley, in 2000.
She is survived by her parents, Hoyle and Ruth Wilhite Morgan of China Grove; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special friend, Gary Donahue. She is also survived by her special feline, "Chester."
She was a 1976 graduate of South Rowan High School and received a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Barton College.
She was a caseworker at the Dept. of Social Services in Cabarrus and Rowan counties and also in Richmond, Va., until her retirement due to ill health.
She was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Nelda Henry Sunday School Class, member of the Women's ministry and the benevolence committee. She was a former member of the Youth Choir of North Kannapolis Baptist Church that performed across the United States.
