Betty Lou Brown Buckwell

Mrs Betty Lou Brown Buckwell passed away on Jan. 21, 2022 at her residence in Fort Mill S.C. Born on Aug. 22, 1928 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Everette Brown and Mattie Josey Brown. She attended Appalachaian State University. She was an educator and a house wife. She loved sewing, gardening, music, arts and crafts, Girl Scouts, camping at Ocean Lakes, going to church events, and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd V. Buckwell; and two daughters, Bonita Buckwell Miller, Betina Buckwell Adams; as well as her siblings, Helen Elizabeth, Leo Everette, Benjamin Harold, and Naomi Ruth.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Ann Brown Miller (Clarence); and brother, Andrew Brown (Sara); as well as sisters-in-law, Carolyn Daugherty, and Gay Bost. Also surviving her are her grandchlldren, Brittany Markowski, and Brenna Lang, Brooke Vasquez, Bailey Williams, and Bethany Dail; great grandchildren, Belle, Jordan, Peyton (Markowski), Tyler, Braelyn, Sierra (Lang), Manny, Joe, Jeff (Vasquez), Tate, Tenley, Turner (Williams), Harper, and Levi (Dail).

Arrangements: Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1 till 2 p.m. at Organ Lutheran Church with funeral to follow also at Organ Lutheran at 2 p.m. Interment will be at West Lawn Memorial Park.
