Ronald Jay Smith of China Grove passed away Monday December 25, 2017 at his residence.
He was born March 11, 1943 in Cabarrus County to the late Mattie Treece Smith and the late William Jay Smith.
Ronald was a graduate of North Rowan High School and owned and operated an auto body shop.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Shaver Smith on December 28, 2007, and a brother Phillip Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory are sons, Timothy Smith of Woodleaf and Ronald Jay Smith (Crystal Cox) of China Grove, daughters, Christina Smith Clifton (Jeff) of Woodleaf and Ashley Nicole Gordon (Derek) of TX, step-daughters: Michelle Graham Benton (Rusty) of SC and Stephanie Sides (Ray) of Salisbury, brother Bill Smith (Mic) of Salisbury, sisters, Jatana Patterson (Danny) of Spencer, and Lannette Hughes of Salisbury, twelve grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 2:00 – 3:30 PM Thursday December 28, 2017 at Haven Lutheran Church, Salisbury, NC.
Memorials: Community Home Care and Hospice, Statesville, NC.
