Mrs. Blanche Beck Gardner, 88, of Faith, NC passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008. Blanche was born May 15, 1920 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Floyd Beck and Callie Lyerly Beck. Blanche was a 1937 Graduate of Rockwell High School, a member of Shiloh Reformed Church of Faith, the Ladies Bible Class and the Rockwell Order of the Eastern Star. She had worked for and retired from Jeanette Maternity of Faith.
In addition to her parents Blanche is also preceded in death by her husband, Warren Gantt Gardner, whom passed away on August 13, 1996.
Survivors: son; Warren "Gary" Gardner and wife Shirley of Faith, grandchildren; Scott Gardner and wife Sarah, Amy Jackson and husband Ritchie, Chris Gardner, all of Faith, great grandchildren; Colby Jackson, Alexandria and Joshua Gardner, brothers; Floyd Beck, Jr. of Rockwell, Gene Beck of Salisbury, sisters; Ruth Wagoner of Albemarle, Dorothy Adams and Thelma Moose of Rockwell, Margaret Daugherty of Landis, Dewey Fish of Charlotte.
Visitation: 7:00 to 8:30 PM Thursday at Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell.
Funeral Services: 3:00 PM Friday at Shiloh Reformed Church of Faith, conducted by Rev. Wayne Trexler, Interim Pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
