Mary Lee White Morgan

ARCHDALE - Mrs. Mary Lee White Morgan, 84, of Archdale, died Friday, July 4, 2014 at her residence.

Born January 28, 1930 in Randolph County, Mary Lee was the fifth of 12 children of the late Robert Lyndon and Minnie Furr White.  She was the valedictorian of the Trinity High School Class of 1948, and was a life-long member of Glenola Baptist Church where she formerly served as a Sunday School teacher.  She was retired from the High Point Postal Employees Credit Union, and was an avid member of the Randolph County Democratic Party.  She loved reading, travelling, and her family histories. 

On June 30, 1957, she was married to Charles Edward Morgan who preceded her in death on June 4, 2001.  She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Keith, Worth, Pap, and Bobby White.

Survivors include three children, Charlie Morgan and wife, Pamela, of Trinity, Annette Bowman and husband, Troy of Trinity, and Ginger Lynn Mathis and husband, Gray, of Emerald Isle; nine grandchildren, Morgan Patterson Tkaczuk and husband, Adam, Kaylen Patterson Ratcliffe and husband , Ricky, Jessica Bowman Percival and husband, Justin, Anthony Morgan, Rachel Harris and husband, Nathan, Mary Beth Morgan, Malibu Mathis, Josh Mathis, and Summer Mathis; two great grandsons, August and Asa; three brothers, Ray White, James ‘Buck’ White and wife, Betty, and Charles White and wife, Mittie, all of Archdale; and four sisters, Carol Hicks, Rachel Hunsucker and husband, Pete, Doris Canter and husband, Jimmy, all of Archdale, and Sarah Anne Earnhardt, of Asheboro.

Funeral will be 11:0 0 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale officiated by Rev. Doug Davis. Interment will follow in Springfield Friends Meeting Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday night from 6 until 8.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, High Point, NC.
