Evelyn Branson Furr
HIGH POINT - Mrs. Evelyn Branson Furr, 80, a resident of Stratford Retirement Community, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2008.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, at Guilford Memorial Park by Reverend Morris Brown.
Mrs. Furr was born in Asheboro on August 29, 1927, to Banze and Blanche Wilson Branson. She was a retired bookkeeper and attended High Point Friends Meeting, Cedar Square Friends Meeting and Grace United Methodist Church in Greensboro. Mrs. Furr had done volunteer work at the Red Cross in High Point and the Shepard Center in Greensboro.
Mrs. Furr was married to William Elwood Furr for 49 years before he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Branson.
Surviving are a daughter, Cyndi Folds and husband, Jim of Greensboro; a son, Bill Furr of Winter Springs, Florida; a grandson, Brant Folds of Greensboro; and a sister-in-law, Rosario Branson of Seattle, Washington.
The family will receive friends following the service on Tuesday, at the residence of Cyndi and Jim Folds, 1116 Buckingham Road, Greensboro.
Arrangements are by Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.
