Betty Lou Wagoner Kluttz

Mrs. Betty Lou Wagoner Kluttz, 77, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008, at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Mrs. Kluttz was born on September 30, 1931 in Stanly County a daughter of the late Harley C. and Ethel Hammill Wagoner. Mrs. Kluttz was a 1949 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, was a homemaker and had worked part time for the Rowan County School Food Service. She was a member of St. Stephen' s Lutheran Church, had served on the church council, was a member of the Altar Guild, WELCA and had been a Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryne Thomas Kluttz and a sister, Catherine McQueen.

Survivors include her husband; Van Kluttz whom she married on February 15, 1952.; two sons, Andy Kluttz and wife, Diane, of Mt. Pleasant, NC; Tommy Kluttz and wife, Sherry, of Clemmons, NC; daughter: Karen and husband, Jack, Wilhelm of Gold Hill; two brothers: Clyde Wagoner of Salisbury and Melvin Wagoner of Albemarle; Four Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren.

Services: Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Gold Hill by Rev. Constance Garrett, Pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation: The family will receive friends in the church Fellowship Center following the Funeral Service.
