Mrs. Polly Page Anderson, 78, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Pruitt Health in Ridgeway. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Great Falls Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mary Anne Welch and Rev. James Lowery officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends on Saturday at Great Falls Presbyterian Church immediately following the service.
Mrs. Anderson was born September 1, 1936 in Union County, NC and was a daughter of the late George Lee Page and Hester Stevens Page. She was a graduate of Concord High School in Concord, NC where she was a star basketball player and was retired from the Environmental Protection Agency as an employee relations supervisor. Mrs. Anderson had a generous heart and enjoyed helping people. She enjoyed crafts and yard sales.
She is survived by her husband of more than 55 years, Ross Anderson; two sisters, Lula Tarlton of Concord, NC and Ida Ezell of Ridgeway, SC; one brother, Jimmy Page of Locust, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her brothers, Solomon Page and Bill Page and a sister, Della Mae Page.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Great Falls Presbyterian Church, Great Falls, SC.
