Doyle Junius Burleyson, 82, of 28325 Von Road, Albemarle, died at 2:52 p.m. Monday May 7, 2007 in Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Canton Baptist Church, where he was a member. The Rev. Mark Mabry will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Born Aug. 15, 1924, he was a son of the late Ray Von and Mary Melinda Hatley Burleyson and was a retired section hand for Wiscassett Mills.
He is survived by his wife, Sadie Lee Clark Burleyson of Albemarle; two daughters, Sherry Burleyson Mabry of Stanfield and Linda Burleyson Moore of Albemarle; a brother, Gary “Chub” Burleson of Albemarle; three grandchildren, Jennifer Mabry, Jamie Moore and wife, Carla, and Stuart Mabry; and three great-grandchilden, Will Moore, Mary Elizabeh Moore and Landon Moore.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Harsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. At other times they will be at his home.

Doyle Junius Burleyson, 82, of 28325 Von Road, Albemarle, died at 2:52 p.m. Monday May 7, 2007 in Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.
