Mildred Bunting
Mildred Smith Bunting, 83 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away May 4, 2015. Mildred was born April 17, 1932 in Stanly County to the late Vander Lee and Leether Burris Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, A. G. Bunting.
Mildred is survived by her daughter Diana Norris and husband Chris; grand-daughters Lisa Starnes and husband Preston, Dr. Leslie Norris and her fiancé Dr. Patrick Tobbia; great grandsons Ashton and Gavin Starnes; brothers Harold Gene and Roy Lee, and sister M. Paden.
GG (great grandma) will always be remembered for her love for God, family and friends. Everything she did in life was devoted to helping others. Dementia and a brain tumor robbed her of her joy of giving and caring for family and friends.
The family would like to thank all of the staff and residents at Woodhaven Court, for their love and patience. Many sent cards and visited GG in her sickness; the family thanks you so much. Your love, support and prayers were greatly appreciated.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Woodhaven Court (Memo: Activities Dept), Albemarle, NC.
A private service will be held at a later date.
