JAMESTOWN – Helen Lucile (Stone) Brady, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Pennybyrn at Maryfield with her devoted daughter by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Paul Shelton Brady.
Mrs. Brady was born on February 23, 1920 in High Point a daughter of the late Lester G. and Hattie C. (Ridge) Stone.
She was a former member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church, High Point.
She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, baking, but most of all taking care of her family.
Mrs. Brady is survived by a daughter, Darlene Brady Fete of Jamestown; a sister, Edna (Stone) Jarvis of High Point; a brother, Thurman Stone and his wife, Dot of High Point; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Clarence Grayson "Butch" Brady; and two brothers, Clarence and Charlie Stone.
A celebration of life service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive, High Point, with the Rev. Grover Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Pennybyrn at Maryfield and Hospice of the Piedmont.
