Mary Brady Robinson

Mary Brady Robinson passed away on September 8, 2016 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.

Born December 11, 1913, she was the youngest of six born to William Alexander Brady and Amanda Lentz Brady. She was raised on a farm near the Liberty community. She married Elbert Glenn “Pete” Robinson on June 10, 1938.

She is preceded in death by her husband Pete on August 10, 1982; son-in-law Bill Gilland on June 12, 2016; brothers: E.J. Brady, Joe Brady and David Brady; and sisters: Lou Livengood and Carrie Brady.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Wanda Gilland of Salisbury, Glenda Franklin (Jerry) of Carrollton, Virginia; grandchildren: Wyna Howe (Keith), Kevin Gilland (Dawn) of Salisbury, Alan Franklin (Shannon) of Crozet, Virginia; great grandchildren: Andrew Howe, Tyler Howe, Madison Howe, Spencer Franklin and Emily Franklin; and great great grandchildren: Isaiah Howe and Lincoln Howe.

Mary was a long time member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She attended there regularly until age 98 when she could no longer drive, after which she attended Bethel Methodist Church with her daughter.

Visitation: 1:00 P.M. – 2:45 P.M., Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 701 East Lafayette Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.

Service: 3:00 P.M., Sunday, September 11 at Messiah Lutheran Church with the Rev. Don Safrit and the Rev. Josh Britton officiating. Burial to follow at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Comm. Center Road, Salisbury, NC 28144.
