Edna Barringer Fraley
Edna Barringer Fraley, 86, of Archdale, died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Clyde and Cathy Fraley.
She was born in Stanly County, April 8th, 1924, the daughter of Bernie and Dora Barringer. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Rev. JH Fraley, four brothers, two sisters and one grandson.
She is survived by one son, Clyde Fraley and wife Cathy of Archdale, one daughter, Linda Roberts and husband Bobby of High Point; one sister, Geneva Robertson and husband Buddy of High Point; two granddaughters, Angie Welch and husband Mike of High Point, Rebekah Zomberg and husband John, two grandsons Craig Fraley, Dustin Segers and wife Erin. She also had 9 great grandchildren.
Edna and her husband, the Rev. JH Fraley, started several churches in the area and ministered to many throughout their years as husband and wife. She owned and operated her own beauty shop for forty years, retiring in 1997. She loved working in her flowers, playing the piano, organ, guitar and praising the Lord through gospel music.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Services in Archdale with Rev. David M. Emery and Rev. Dustin Segers officiating. Entombment will follow at the mausoleum at Floral Garden Memorial Park in High Point. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home and following the entombment at the home of John and Rebekah Zomberg, 210 Waters Edge Dr. in Archdale.
