Melvin Eugene Biles, 81, of Albemarle passed away early Monday morning, March 16, 2015 at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle. Rev. Danny Laws will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00, Tuesday evening, March 17, 2015 at the residence.
Mr. Biles was born August 28, 1933 in Stanly County to the late William Asbury Biles and Ethel Thompson Biles. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Marine Corp. He was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church and was last employed by Jefferies Processing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley Mitchell Biles of the home; sons, Melvin Junior Biles and wife, Sylvia, William Eugene Biles and wife, Donna and Eric Todd Biles and wife, Frankie all of Albemarle; sisters, Onnie Mae Simpson of Norwood, Mary Crisco and Gertie Beachum both of Albemarle; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
