Mrs. Brewer was born on June 15, 1921, in Montgomery County to Neill W. and Thelma James Freeman. She owned and operated Irene's Beauty Shop until she retired. She was a member of Star Presbyterian Church and was a member of Star Chapter 111 Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burnie Brewer. Memorials may be made to Star Presbyterian Church, Star, NC.
