Brenda Louise Poplin Efird, age 59, of 40155 Paul's Crossing Road, Richfield, NC, passed away on Wednesday, October 12th, 2011 at her home. Her family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and her funeral will be at 2 PM on Saturday, October 15th, 2011 at Paul's Crossing Baptist Church in Richfield, NC. Rev. Jessie Dennis will officiate and burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
Born August 2nd, 1952 in Rowan County, NC, Mrs. Efird was the daughter of Kathleen Morris Poplin of Richfield, NC and the late James Arthur Poplin. She was a graduate of Central Piedmont Community College, an employee of CTC, and a member of Paul's Crossing Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Joshua D. Efird and wife Jerray of Albemarle, NC and Brian J. Efird of Richfield, NC; two brothers, Lynn Poplin of Richfield, NC and Chris Poplin of New London, NC; one sister, Karen Herlocker of New London, NC; and one special friend, John Efird of Albemarle, NC.
