DARLINGTON - Mrs. Mittie Jane Blackmon, 78, of Darlington died yesterday.
She was born September 16, 1871, in Anson County, North Carolina.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel B. Blackmon of Darlington; four children, Mrs. L. O. Johnson of Florence, B. H. Cagle, Jacksonville, Mrs. John Henry Mills of Columbia, and Carlos Blackmon of Darlington; two brothers, D. M. James of Marshville, N. C. and C. C. James of Tampa; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Blackmond was a member of the Second Baptist Church and a resident in Darlington for 48 years.
Funeral service will be conducted at the Kistler Funeral Home, and burial at Swift Creek cemetery, Darlington, Friday in the afternoon.
