Brenda Kay Tyner Drye, 75, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Universal Healthcare in Concord.
Brenda was born September 29, 1946 in Rowan County, North Carolina to the late John Daniel Tyner, Sr., and the late Lillie Parks Tyner.
She was also preceded in death by spouse, James E. Drye, Jr.; daughter, Janice Ridgeway; and brothers, John Daniel Tyner, Jr. and James Tyner.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Monday, August 22, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The graveside service will follow on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Mission Baptist Church Cemetery in Locust officiated by Rev. Eddie Barbee. Burial will immediately follow at the Mission Baptist Church Cemetery at 12444 Mission Church Road, Locust.
Survivors include son, Larry (Donna) Drye of Mount Pleasant, NC; grandsons, Zane Ridgeway and Zion Ridgeway; brother, Donald Wayne (Elise) Tyner; and son-in-law, Zelph Ridgeway.
Brenda liked gardening and flowers. She loved her cats and was always taking in stray cats. Brenda also enjoyed shopping and traveling.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cabarrus, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC.
