Louise Fisher Stirewalt

ROCKWELL - Mrs. Louise Fisher Stirewalt, 88, of Rockwell, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born July 31, 1926, in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Luther Lee and Agnes Miller Fisher. Educated in Rowan County schools, she was a member Organ Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Stirewalt retired from the Rowan County Sheriff's Office in the kitchen. Earlier in life she worked for Cannon Mills. She liked to fish and do quilting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband of 42 years, Sheriff John Fredrick Stirewalt.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son Johnny Max Stirewalt of China Grove; longtime friend Boyden Brown of Rockwell; sisters Brownie Stirewalt and Catherine Steele, both of Rockwell; and sister-in-law Hazel Stirewalt of China Grove. Also surviving her are her grandchild, Johnny Wayne Stirewalt; and step-grandchildren Brenda Sheets and Debbie Cranford.

Visitation: Friday from 2-3 p.m. at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral at 3 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Organ Lutheran Cemetery.
