Richard Lee Carter
Richard Lee Carter, 74, of Rockwell, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.
He was born October 10, 1947 in Salisbury, NC to the late Moses "Bud" and Sarah Shue Carter. Richard served in the United States Army and worked for Nolan Barnhardt Electric for 22 years. Farming was his passion; as long as he was riding on a tractor and there were cows in his pasture, he was a happy man. Mr. Carter was a lifelong member of Organ Lutheran Church, where he served numerous times on the church Council, was always on the Altar Guild and sang in the choir for 50 years.
Richard will be greatly missed by his cousin Gail Foster, and many other family and friends.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm at Organ Lutheran Church, Salisbury, NC.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in the Organ Lutheran Church, Salisbury, NC, with Pastor Tonya Brittain, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Organ Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Organ Lutheran Church.
