Loretta Holt Duren, age 73, of Albemarle, NC, passed away on Wednesday, January 11th, 2012 at her home.
Her funeral will be at 1 PM on Saturday, January 14th, 2012 at Prospect Baptist Church in Albemarle, NC and her family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM just prior to the hour of service. Rev. Stoney Benfield will officiate and burial will be in Prospect Baptist Church's cemetery.
Born November 13th, 1938 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Duren was the daughter of the late Carl Wade Holt and Lillian Frick Holt Long.
She was an employee of Walmart and a Hairdresser for 35 years.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, George Duren; two sons, Terry Chase of Jacksonville, FL and Chris Chase of Lakeland, FL; one sister, Ronnell Lowder and husband Donald of Albemarle, NC; one grandchild, Staff Sgt. Ian Penhallegan of Utah; and a great niece, Morgan Lowder of Cornelius, NC.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Stanly County.
