Sandra Wagner Dunaway
Sandra Wagner Dunaway, 66, of Salisbury passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. Mrs. Dunaway was born on March 5, 1949 in Rowan County a daughter of the late Roy Alexander and Margaret Honeycutt Wagner.
Sandra received her education at Faith Elementary School and East Rowan High School. She was a Security Guard at Schultz Mobile Homes before retiring. She was of the Baptist Faith, loved animals, especially her dogs, and a member of ASPCA. Sandra loved spending time with family especially her great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L Dunaway, 4 sisters and 8 brothers.
Survivors include son, David Dunaway and wife Tresie of Salisbury; daughters, Debbie McIntyre of Gold Hill, and Leondra Morris and husband Jon of Salisbury; brother, Ernest Wagner of Salisbury; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Special thanks to Freddie Troutman, best friend and caregiver.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday at Powles Staton Funeral Home.
Services: Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00PM Wednesday in Powles Staton Chapel conducted by Rev. Donnie Chapman pastor of Jerusalem Baptist Church, Mocksville. Burial will follow in Brookhill Memorial Gardens.
