Mr. Adam McCoy Shaver, Sr., 95, of 2609 Sherwood Street, died Monday, Aug. 3, 1998, at High Point Regional Hospital.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1998, at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Street Chapel. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park.
Mr. Shaver was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, where he was a Boy Scout Master. He was the former owner and operator of the Shaver's Gulf Station on High Point Road and was preceded in death by his wife, Essie Mae Drye Shaver and his son, Adam McCoy Shaver, Jr.
Mr. Shaver is survived by his grandsons, John Shaver of Hilton Head, SC and Steve Shaver of Greensboro; and daughter-in-law, Catherine Shaver also of Greensboro.
