Terry Floyd Hinson Sr., 72, of Oakboro, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.
Terry was born May 4, 1948 in Stanly county, to the late Floyd William Hinson and Mary Ramelle Hinson.
Terry was a loving husband of 54 years, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an intelligent man who held patents for packaging machinery that he designed. He grilled the most incredible steaks, loved gardening and had such a personality he was liked by all. He would rather give than receive. Due to his sense of urgency he is known as "Flash", also known as "Pa". He will be incredibly missed and will always be loved "immensely".
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Danny and Van Hinson.
The Celebration of Life will be on Saturday at 2:00 pm at St Martin Lutheran Church officiated by Pastor Phil Thorsen.
Survivors include his loving wife, Fran Hinson; daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Lambert, and her children, Ryan Foreman, Kaileigh (Dylan) Russelburg, great-grandchild Dawson; son, Terry (Kina) Hinson, Jr., and his children, Beau and Gavin Hinson.
Memorials may be made to St Martin Lutheran Church, 16592 St Martin Rd, Albemarle, and Roy M. Hinson Cancer Center, 945 N 5th St, Albemarle.
