Novella Hearne Roberson
Novella Hearne Roberson, 91, of The Zebulon House, formerly of the Wake Cross Roads area, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Wake Med.
She was born in Stanly County on December 13, 1921, to the late Joel Adam Hearne and Jennie Morgan Hearne.
Novella worked for many years; following retirement she was a wonderful caregiver to her late husband, Paul Robert Roberson Sr. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be greatly missed.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, November 4, 2013 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC with Reverend Glen Brock officiating. Burial will follow at Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 12:45 pm at the funeral home.
She is survived by her children: Brenda R. Hartkopf (Al) of Roper, Edna R. Jones (Bill) of Knightdale, Paul Robert Roberson, Jr. of Franklinton; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother: Norman L. Hearne; sister: Edith H. Briggs.
In addition to her parents and her husband Paul, Novella was preceded in death by numerous brothers, as well as her beloved granddaughter, Leigh Ann Jones.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Zebulon House for all the care and love shown to Novella for the last several years.
