Notes for Rev. Rufus Franklin Miller
R. F. MillerFuneral services for the Rev. R. F. Miller, former pastor of the Sixth Avenue Church of God, are scheduled Monday at 2 p.m. at the church. The Rev. Miller, 61, died Friday in Meridian, Miss., after being in failing health for about a month.

He was pastoring a rural church seven miles south of Meridian at the time of his death and was pastor of the Decatur church from 1945 until 1949.

The body was to arrive in Decatur this morning at 10 and then be taken to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Buford Sharp, Decatur 1. Body will remain at the Sharp home until Monday when it will be taken to the church and lie in state from 1 until time for the service.

Service is to be conducted by the Rev. Eustace Johnson, Meridian, assisted by several pastors in the Decatur area.

Place of interment will be announced later by Brown Funeral Home.

Survivors include the widow; four daughters, Mrs. Sharp; Mrs. Roy Settlemyre, Hickory, N. C., Mrs. Minard Fraley, Winchester, Ky., Mrs. Silas Mefford, Monroe City, Ind.; one son, Ray Miller, Charlotte, N.C.
