Mrs. Wanda Culp Russell, age 76, of Morrow Mountain Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on Friday, April 29th, 2011 at Bethany Woods Nursing Center.
Her funeral will be at 4 PM on Sunday, May 1st, 2011 in Stanly Funeral Home's Chapel and her family will receive friends from 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM just prior to the hour of service. Rev. Dan Abernathy will officiate and burial will be in Stony Hill United Methodist Church's Cemetery.
Born June 9th, 1934 in Stanly County, NC, Mrs. Russell was the daughter of the late Floyd Allen and Helen Kendall Culp.
She was a homemaker and former employee of Wiscassett Hosiery Mill. She attended Badin Baptist Church and formerly Stony Hill United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.K. Russell.
She is survived by her son, James Allen Russell and wife Monda of Albemarle, NC; one brother, Ron Culp of Ft. Mill, SC; and three grandchildren: Sawyer Russell, Clancy Russell, and Steely Russell.
Memorials can be made to: Hospice of Stanly County ~or~ Green Memorial United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund, Norwood, NC.
