Shirley Bell Campbell
Shirley Bell Campbell, 80, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Ms. Campbell was born January 25, 1932 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Fred L. Bell and Sarah Travis Bell. She was a graduate of Scotts High School, was retired from Jantzen and was of the Baptist Faith.
Ms. Campbell is survived by three sons, Dennis Campbell (Ann), Toney Campbell (Twana), Steve Campbell (Nancy), two brothers, Bobby and Tommy Bell, one sister, Ruby Morrison, eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Freddie Bell Lazenby, Mrs. J.W. (Vernie) Sherrill, Mrs. (Espy) T. Betty Troutman and two brothers, George and Glenn Bell.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Goodin and Rev. Dr. Travis Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will be assembled at the home of Toney and Twana Campbell, 310 Sunflower Rd., Statesville, NC and will receive friends Saturday morning 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Mark, Mike and Chris Lazenby, Sammy and Andy Morrison, Eric Troutman, Benj Kress and Ryan Bumgarner.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Countryside Baptist Church, Harmony, NC.
