SALISBURY - Bobby Ray Hess, 75, of Salisbury, died on Saturday (Nov. 19, 2005) at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Hess was born on Feb. 10, 1930 in Rowan County to the late Oma Wilkerson Hess and R.O. Hess. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Hess was employed with the Owens-Illinois Company for 30 years until his retirement. He is a member of Christiana Lutheran Church and attended the Holy Power Church.
Mr. Hess is survived by his wife Hilda Eller Hess; one son Gary Hess of Mooresville; one daughter Mia Moore and her husband Barry of Concord; four sisters Carolyn Rhinehardt, of Florida, Shirley Yarbrough of Salisbury, Betty Black of Salisbury and Peggy Frank of South Carolina; five grandchildren Christi Moore, Ryan Hess, Erin Walser, Teresa Moore and Lydia Moore; three great-grandchildren Alyssa Moore, Madison Walser and Cheyenne Moore.
Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Christiana Lutheran Church with Rev. Carl Haynes, Pastor presiding and Rev. Bill Cutshaw.
Visitation: 7-8:30 p.m. tonight, Summersett Funeral Home.
