Notes for Frances Eloise Reavis
Eloise Reavis Goodnight

Eloise Reavis Goodnight, 85, went to be with her Lord January 17, 2016.

She was born the only child of Lillie Almond Reavis and Condy Reavis on January 23, 1930 in Landis, NC.

She lived there and finished Landis High School in May of 1947. On March 6, 1949 she married her true love, Robert Bruce Goodnight (Bob) after he returned from duty in the U.S. Navy. It was love at first sight that lasted 66 years and they were true sole mates. Where you saw one, the other was never far away. They moved to Myrtle Beach in 1959 and moved around for several years, but returned to live here in 1984. They had no children, but they claimed as their own, Deanna and Joseph Robertson, who took care of them as long as they lived. Eloise and Bob worked together for years. In 1985 they joined Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church, where they served as Deacons and volunteers. Eloise was a life member of VFW Post #10804, where she served as Chaplain and as a volunteer.

Eloise lived at Reflections Assisted Living in Carolina Forest for the last 11 months. She loved it there.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, January 21 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow in North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Embrace Hospice, Conway, SC.

Lee Funeral Home & Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is serving the family.
