Sunday, December 11, 2011 — Hoyle Keith “Tinker” Almond Sr., age 76, of Riley Street, Albemarle, died Friday, December 9, 2011 at 6:45 p.m. in Stanly Regional Medical Center.
His memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2011 at Congregational Christian Church, Albemarle. Family and friends are invited to attend. Rev. Donald Ray Johnson will officiate.
Born November 9, 1935 in Stanly County, he was the son of the late John Franklin and Flossie Harrington Almond.
He was a retired electrician with E.J. Snyder and a member of Congregational Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Junior Almond and Phillip Almond, both of Albemarle; one daughter, Angela Annette Almond Whitaker of Kannapolis; one sister, Barbara Ann Almond of Albemarle; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Two sisters, Bernice Almond and Betty Almond Misenheimer, preceded him in death.
Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, Stanly County Chapter.
Stanly Funeral Home is assisting the family.
