Miss Barbara Ann Almond of Albemarle passed away Monday, December 10, 2012 at Stanly Manor Nursing Center. Her funeral will be 3 PM Wednesday December 12, 2012 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Ray Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon from 1 until 2:30 PM.
Born April 17, 1933 in Stanly County, NC she was the daughter of the late John F. and Flossie Harrington Almond and was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mill Company. She was a member of Congregational Christian Church.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. A brother Hoyle Keith Almond and two sisters Betty Almond Misenheimer and Bernice Almond preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to Congregational Christian Church, Albemarle, NC.
