Sarah Deal Eagle
Mrs. Sarah Deal Eagle, 94, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018 at Trinity Oaks Health and Rehab in Salisbury.
Born on May 9, 1924, to the late Mr. Edd Deal and Corrnie Russell Deal, she was raised and educated in Rowan County. She lived a full and happy life. She was a hairdresser for as long as she was able and she loved all kinds of crafts. She enjoyed putting together puzzles and doing word searches. She also had quite a green thumb and l oved to travel.
Sarah was loved by so many and never met a stranger. She was known as somewhat of a jokester and was known for saying, “I'm just like an old duck, and I don't give a quack!”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Eagle, in 1986.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Coy Eagle (Tammy); two daughters, Wanda Watts and Brenda Bastian (Steve); her four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation & Service: Visitation for Mrs. Eagle will be Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018 at Mount Zion United Church of Christ, from 2-3p.m. with service to follow. Burial will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make memorials to the Trellis Hospice and Palliative Care, Salisbury, NC; Trinity Oaks Health and Rehab, Salisbury, NC; and Mt. Zion UCCC Youth Program, China Grove, NC.
