Mrs. Gracie Madgalene Blalock Waisner, 94, or Belmont NC, went to her heavenly home on Saturday September 22, 2012 at her home. Her funeral service will be at 11 AM on Monday September 24, 2012 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Jimmy Hilton officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 PM and on Monday morning from 10 until 11 AM prior to the funeral service.
Born June 14, 1918 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late William Anderson Blalock and Ollie Martin Drye Blalock. A graduate of UNC-Wilmington, Mrs. Waisner was retired from the US Postal Service and was a member of South Point Baptist Church in Belmont.
She was married to the late Arthur R. Waisner. Survivors include son Larry Arthur Waisner of Toccoa, GA; two daughters Sylvia Rochelle Carriker and husband, Gerald of Belmont; Yolanda Waisner Locklear of Baltimore MD; two sisters, Daisy Ribelin of Albemarle and Willie Mary Whitley of High Point; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Cameron Shields, as well as two brothers and a sister.
