Johnnie Paul Carter
Johnnie Paul Carter, 77, of Salisbury, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 4, 2017. He was born February 10, 1940, in Rowan County to the late Daniel Carl Carter and Hattie Ritchie Carter.
Mr. Carter was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and retired from Earnhardt Trucking, where he was a truck driver. He enjoyed working on cars and trucks and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Rose Carter, whom he married March 17, 2007, daughters, Sharon Parris of Rockwell and Glenda Carlisle and husband, Mike, of Rockwell, step-children, Billy Carter of Granite Quarry and Brenda Boltz of Salisbury, sister, Patricia Carter of Salisbury, and grandchildren, Chad Parris and significant other, Rachel Bringle, Leslie Cantrell and husband, Brian, and Haley Carlisle.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 8, from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Eastside Baptist Church in Salisbury. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM on Friday, in the church, conducted by Rev. Joe Black. Interment will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell.
Memorials may be made to Eastside Baptist Church.
