SALISBURY - Cynthia Kirk Murphy, 64, of Salisbury passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at the Hospice House of Davidson County.
Born Dec. 20, 1948 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow R. Kirk and Margaret Morris Kirk Smith.
Cynthia was a 1967 graduate of Boyden High. She worked at Rowan Regional Medical Center in the medical records office for 31 years before retiring. Cynthia was an avid bowler and Steelers, Clemson Tigers and Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan.
Those left to cherish her memory are son, Steven Chad Hunter of Salisbury; daughter, Stefanie (Greg) Hunter Baker of Inman, S.C.; sister, Melissa (Robert Collins) Luce of Thomasville; and grandchildren, Matthew Gregory Baker, MacKenzie Brooke Hunter and Kirkland Reese Hunter.
Memorial Service and Visitation: 1p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church, Salisbury, with Dr. Randy Kirby officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Memorials: Humane Society of Rowan County, and Hospice & Palliative CARE of Rowan County.
