STANFIELD Edward Grant "Ed" Barbee, 71, of Stanfield, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at CMC-NorthEast in Concord .
Mr. Barbee was born April 13, 1942, in Stanly County, to the late Bruce Edward Barbee and Melvin Louise Lee Barbee.
Ed was retired from the U.S. Air Force National Guard, and worked for F&F Construction.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland Saturday, Oct. 12, from 1 to 2 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the chapel, at 2 p.m. Burial will be at a later date, at The Salisbury National Cemetery.
Survivors include sisters, Sue King and husband, Larry King and Dorothy Furr and husband, Floyd Ray Furr, all of Concord; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
