RICHFIELD -- Flonnie May Harper Bowers, 79, 310 N. Main St., died Friday (Aug. 27, 2004)at Stanly Memorial Hospital, Albemarle.
Born April 25, 1925, in Anson County, Mrs. Bowers was a daughter of the late Floyd and Mammie Paul Harper. She retired fromPerfect Fit Company.
Her husband, George R. Bowers, died in 1992.
Survivors include sons Bobby Joe and George Wesley Bowers, both of Albemarle, and Butch Bowers, Richfield; daughters Brenda Louise Dennis, Sally Ann Bish and Wanda Kay Winecoff, all of Albemarle, Eva Jane Bowers, Jacksonville, Fla., and Melvie Reau Earnhardt, Richfield; sisters Pearlie Fraley, Richfield, Arlene Diaz, Charlotte, and Beatrice Hearne, Concord; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services: 3 p.m. Sunday, Stanly Funeral Home chapel, Albemarle, conducted by the Rev. Harry Harwood and the Rev. John Cartrette. Burial, Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
Visitation: 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
