Patricia “Diann” Burris
Patricia “Diann” Burris, 68, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday January 21, 2018 at CHS-Concord. Her funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Canton Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Mabry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM at Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care.
Diann was born December 27, 1949 in Stanly County, NC and was the daughter of the late Homer Hathcock and Mary Jewell Hathcock. She retired from Cabarrus Family Medicine as a Certified Medical Assistant and was a former Medical Care Giver. Mrs. Burris was a member of Canton Baptist Church where she was a former GA Leader and Sunday School Teacher.
Diann was married to Ronald C. Burris of the home. Other survivors include two daughters Angela B. Mauney of Albemarle, NC, Jennifer B. Smith and husband Jonathan of Albemarle, NC, two brothers Darrell Hathcock of Stanfield, NC, and Ricky Hathcock of Stanfield, NC, a sister Teresa H. Morton of Oakboro, NC, four grandchildren Casey Blalock, Daniel Smith, Chastity Blalock and Jacob Smith. Mrs. Burris was preceded in death by brothers Joel Hathcock and David Hathcock.
