Eva Gregory Basinger
SALISBURY - Eva Gregory Basinger, 90, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born April 19, 1920, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Edna Griffin Gregory and James Walter Gregory.
Educated in Rowan County schools, she was employed by Cannon Mills Plant 7, from where she retired. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Paul Basinger; daughters Loretta Flora and Valerie Brown; and grandson Jack C. Brown.
Survivors include her brother, Jimmy Gregory (Rose) of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Bill Flora (Kristine) of Raleigh, Angela Flora Tinkler (Stuart) of South Carolina, Crystal Brown Kirkman (Rick) of Salisbury; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 19 at Lyerly Funeral Home.
Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Rowan Memorial Park.
Memorials: Southside Baptist Church.
