Hazeline A. Fisher

LANDIS - Hazeline Atwell Fisher, 90, of Magnolia Gardens Extended Care Community in Spencer, formerly of 609 W. Hoke St., Landis, died Tuesday, June 6, 2006.

Born July 24, 1915, in Iredell County, Mrs. Fisher was a daughter of the late David Earl and Nannie Belle Alexander Atwell. She graduated from Mooresville High School and Lowrance School of Nursing, where she received her RN.

Mrs. Fisher worked at many of the hospitals in North Carolina, including Charlotte Memorial Hospital, Duke University Hospital and Lowrance Hospital. In her later years, she was a private duty nurse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern Weidner Fisher, in July 1967.

Surviving are son Paul David Fisher and wife Bennie Newman Fisher of Landis; granddaughter Margaret Lea Fisher of Washington, D.C.; brother-in-law Dr. C.P. Fisher II of Salisbury; and sister-in-law Mary Gladys Poovey of Hickory.

Service : 3 p.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jarrod Lanning officiating. Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

Visitation : 1-3 p.m. today at the church.

Memorials : Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund.

Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Landis is serving the Fisher family.
