Marvin Hall Eudy

Marvin Hall Eudy, 86 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

Mr. Eudy was born May 18, 1929 in Stanly County to the late Charles Howard Eudy and Carolina Burleson Eudy . He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Calvin Cooledge Eudy, Louise Lowder, JC Eudy, Ruby Carter, Coy Lee Eudy, and Shirley Turner.

Marvin was an army veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed farming and had a great love for the horses he raised. Some of Marvin's outdoor activities were hunting and fishing. He dearly loved his wife and family members.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM , Tuesday, April 12, 2016 , at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle . The funeral service will follow at1:00 PM in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 East Main Street, Albemarle.

Survivors include wife of 59 years, Gladys Eudy of the home; son, Rodney Eudy and girlfriend, Lisa of Oakboro; daughter, Linda Tyson of Norwood; granddaughters, Jessica Eudy Phillips and husband David of Charleston, SC and Stephanie Tyson of Albemarle; grandsons, Joseph Gregory Eudy of Oakboro and Gary Mitchell Tyson of Norwood; great granddaughter, Carissa Elizabeth Phillips, and brother Dale Eudy and Ruth of Oakboro.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County and the Uwharrie, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001 and Bayada Home Health Care, 731 North Second Suite C, Albemarle, NC 28001.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of Stanly County and the staff of Bayada Home Health Care for their loving care of Marvin. The family also wishes to acknowledge the assistance provided by the Veterans Administration.
