Sunday, April 8, 2012 — Jimmy Eugene Hathcock Sr., age 75, of Norwood, passed away on April 4, 2012, at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center, Albemarle.
The family received friends on Saturday, April 7, 2012 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The graveside service was held Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Norview Gardens. Rev. Nathan Fox officiated.
Born August 15, 1936 in Stanly County, he was the son of the late Garfield Hathcock and the late Sadie Elizabeth Preslar Hathcock.
He is survived by his son, Jimmy Eugene Hathcock Jr. of Charlotte; brother, Doug Hathcock of Monroe; two sisters, Margaret Garmon of Norwood and Ruby Weathersbee of Greensboro.
He was a retired salesman.
Memorials may be made to the Roy M. Hinson Cancer Center, 945 N. Fifth St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
