Wesley Bruce Lefler
Wesley Bruce “Pop” Lefler, 85, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014. He was a retired brick and stone mason. Wesley enjoyed to karaoke and was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, as well as the American Legion Post 28 Bonnie Sloan.
Wesley was born on May 6, 1929 in Albemarle, North Carolina to the late Wesley Gannon and Fannie Ardena (Tucker) Lefler. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Eva Mae (Eudy) Lefler; brothers, Bueal and Aaron Lefler, and sister, Teat Kelly.
He is survived by his son, David Bruce Lefler and his wife, Debbie; and grandchildren, Sean Wesley Lefler and Kristen Marie Lefler.
Cremation was chosen following Wesley’s wishes. Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 5 PM on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Lefler residence.
Contributions in Wesley’s memory may be made to the Kosair Children’s Hospital Foundation (Dept. 86140, PO Box 950183, Louisville, KY).
