Ted Richard Eudy, 79, of Albemarle passed away Monday April 13, 2015 in his home. His funeral will be a graveside service at 2 PM Thursday, April 16, 2015 in Randall’s United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ron Honeycutt officiating. Military Honors will be rendered by the Stanly County DAV Ritual Team. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 PM.
Born Dec. 27, 1935 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late Cornelius Alvin Eudy and Letha Morton Eudy and was retired from the US Navy with 20 years of service as well as from Albemarle High School where he taught auto mechanics for 15 years. He attended Randall’s United Methodist Church and he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was married for 53 years to Beatrice Jean Wilhoit Eudy of the home. Surviving is a nephew David Lefler and wife Debbie of Indiana. He was preceded in death by sons Ted Ronald Eudy and Timothy Robert Eudy, brothers Ray Eudy and Donald Eudy and sister Eva Mae Lefler.
