Ruby Mae Eagle Lonon
Ruby Mae Eagle Lonon, age 87, of Marion, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003 in The McDowell Hospital.
Born in Rowan County to the late Albert T. and Mary Canupp Eagle, she was a retired employee of N.C. Finishing Plant. She was the wife of the late Otis Lonon. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Moody V. Eagle.
Surviving are one daughter, Marilyn Lonon of Asheville; two sons, Gerald Lonon of Eastover, S.C. and Kerry Dean Lonon of Marion; one brother, James A. Eagle of Sumter, S.C.; one sister, Marjorie Miller of Rockwell; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at noon Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003 in the McCall Memorial Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred M. Reese of Concord United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at McDowell Memorial Park.
