Annie Bell Furr Almond

Sunday, May 14, 2006 — Annie Belle Furr Almond, 78, of 16585 Hwy 73, Albemarle, died at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2006, in the Lutheran Home in Albemarle. Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday with 30-minute state in Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church, where she was a member. Elder Rommie Williams and Elder David Anderson officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.

Born March 30, 1928, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Millard and Tina Louise Lambert Furr and was a homemaker.

Two brothers, Vernon Furr and Dave Furr, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Columbus Almond of the home; two sons, Steve Almond and Dwight Almond, both of Albemarle; a daughter, Karen Almond McLendon of Albemarle; two brothers, Roy Furr of Locust and Coy Furr of Albemarle; seven sisters, Ruby Furr of Albemarle, Ola Mae Harkey of Concord, Irene Caldwell of Albemarle, Betty Jean Furr of Paquet, S.C. , Lillian Dillinger of Fallston, Christine Drye of Locust and Brenda Walker of Mt. Pleasant; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Hartsell Funeral Home was in charge.
