ROCKWELL - Mrs. Daisy Mae Britt Hill, 89, of Rockwell, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, Salisbury.
She was born April 28, 1924, in Robeson County to the late Ed and Daisy Mae Watts Britt. She attended Robeson County schools.
Mrs. Hill was a caregiver at The Meadows of Rockwell and also provided care to other families throughout the community.
A member of Grace Bible Church in Rockwell, she was active with the Young at Heart Senior Group.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Lee Hill.
She was the last surviving child among 12 siblings and is survived by two daughters, Geraldine Shue and husband Norman of Rockwell and Patricia Pine and husband Greg of Rockwell; son Walter Lee Hill and wife Linda of Rockwell; six grandchildren, Amy Ritter, Regina Bostian, Pam York, Teri Boger, Bryon Hill and Clifton Hill; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Thursday, April 3 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Powles Funeral Home in Rockwell.
Service: The funeral service will be held Friday, April 4 at 11 a.m. at Grace Bible Church in Rockwell, conducted by Pastor Steve Parker. Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell.
The family would like to thank Dr. Chris Agner for his 36 years of loving care and the staff of Novant Health Rowan Medical Center for their love and support during this time.
